When I got the word that another reality show on frugality was in the works, I was skeptical. I am not a huge fan of TLC’s Extreme Couponing. Besides not being realistic, the examples shown on that show range from mild hoarding to coupon fraud. I’m not sure if this show will follow in the same vein, but at least they’re going to be covering other money-saving methods besides clipping coupons.
Take this casting call with a grain of salt, as I don’t know if “America’s Most Frugal Residents” will be a reality show I’ll really be able to get behind. One thing is for sure: I’ll be tuning in out of curiosity… at least for the first few episodes. If you’re interested and have what they’re looking for, you may want to inquire about it. I do know that participants in some reality shows receive an honorarium ( = $$$!) for participating. Who knows, maybe we’ll see fellow “Mommysavers Mom” on TV in the near future!
