Appetizers for New Year’s Eve

December 21, 2014 by Kimberly Danger Leave a Comment

Wondering what to bring to your New Year’s Eve party?  Here are a few of my favorite recipes, ranging from simple and easy to simply impressive.  All are guaranteed to be crowd-pleasers!

Appetizers for New Year’s Eve

hot crab dipEasy Crab Dip – Every time I make this one, I get requests for the recipe.  You can make it ahead of time and bake it right before you head to your New Year’s Eve party.

Maple Brie Crostini– Brie sounds expensive, but it’s just $2.99 at ALDI.  This is a mouth-watering gourmet appetizer that is a lot more frugal than it seems.

This Melting Pot Cheese Fondue recipe is lots of fun on New Year’s Eve.  It’s perfect for family gatherings and parties.

Cheese Straws – These take only 30 minutes from start to finish.  They keep in the refrigerator for a couple weeks, but I promise they won’t last that long!

Cream Cheese Igloo with Olive Penguins – If kids will be attending your New Year’s Eve party, this recipe is the one you’ll want to bring.  They’ll think it’s adorable (the adults will too)!  Plus, it’s surprisingly easy to make.

Sweet and Savory Party Poppers – The last time I made these, my guests loved them… but they didn’t have a clue what was inside!

It wouldn’t be New Year’s Eve without a special beverage.  These beeritas are super-easy to make.  They taste more like margaritas than beer.  In fact, you’d never guess there was beer in them.  Easy Beeritas Recipe

Spinach and Artichoke Dip This recipe rivals any restaurant version.  In fact, I think it’s better.  Make it ahead of time and heat just before serving.   It’s great with pita chips, bread, or crackers.
