Great Planning

The past 2 1/2 years has been hard for us.  We are living on a very tight budget with only one of us working.  I save every penny I can find.  Planning shopping trips it critical.  I always look over the weekly sale ad's and plan my trips to the store on who has the better deals.  I also plan out my meals for the week so that I only make one trip to the grocery store.  Making multiple trips to the store can be costly.  Buy fresh fruit from a farmers market as well, sometimes you can find better deals there than at your local store.  I just discovered coupon cabin about 4 months ago, and I will tell you that has been very helping in finding deals.  Stores like Walmart and Target post coupons on there all the time for a variety of products.  Another great thing we discovered is to eat less meat centered meals.  Meat is costly and can really cut into your families food budget.  One last thought, when you plan out your meals in advance, you can also plan on packing a lunch everyday whether its for you or your spouse at work or your kids lunches at school.  Bringing your own lunch saves you a ton of money each month.
