How I provide for a household of seven!

As a single mom to five kids living at home, along with a grandchild, I can tell you that providing for them all on my income is no easy feat!  One of the ways I do it is to comparison shop.  Store ads are there for a reason...to lure us in.  But, you can use that to your advantage.  Price compare!  Keep a running list each week on paper.  If one store has an item on sale for cheaper than the other, mark it down.  BUT, do not allow yourself to run all over town trying to get the best prices.  Instead, when you have tallied up for what you need, find the top two stores that will allow you to save the most money and only go to them.  That way you aren't wasting your savings in gas!  And, when you comparison shop, don't forget to match those coupons to your sale items, too, to make your dollars stretch even farther!!
