The Who & What - 2013 Goals and Accountability

It's a new year, time for new goals and new resolutions! I'm taking you along for the ride on our family budgeting adventure this year.

First off let me introduce myself, my name is Jenny.  I am 33 years old, working mother of 2 little girls named Lexi & Aubs.  Lexi is my 8 year old dance princess who has major skills which in turn costs major $$$$, so during this year she will be learning the value of money, respect, and work ethic (chores around the house) . Aubs is my 6 year old redneck in training!  She is her father's child, has to be constantly moving and if it's nice out she is outside playing her heart out. She loves to hunt and hang out with her Dad.  Speaking of Dad his name is Trav, we met in high school and it's been one wild ride ever since.  We will be married 12 years this September.  We both work for my family's business in WI. Yes we work, live, and play together and we still get along!!!

I am taking you along with me as I put my family on a strict budget, which includes $100 per month for groceries. Yes $100 a month for a family of 4 and very little  processed food.  I will show you how I use http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/jenmaass and MyPoints to cushion my grocery budget.  I will also show you menu planning with recipes, coupon matchups, and pictures of my trips to the store.  Gardening is also a key to this budget.  You will get canning recipes, growing and harvesting tips. Along with the strict budget I want to also put a good chunk into savings and pay off a good amount of debt this year. I will also show you how to turn clutter into cash while trying to simplify my household, organizational tips, inexepensive ways to entertain the kids.  Did I mention that our entertainment budget is $50 a month and that includes date night with the hubby each month?  It's time to get creative. Follow me on Pinterest at http://pinterest.com/rockstarjen/ to see the ideas I can come up with. I can't wait to share my adventure with you and for you to hold me accountable!
