Pros: does fluff and dry towels properly
Cons: could ruin your dryer
My mother in-law used these and I thought they were nice. So when I found them at a close-out store for $2 I thought I would give them a try. We really liked them at first. Then we realized that our dryer was making a funny noise. We believe the dryer balls actually helped knock the spinner a bit out of place.
Our dryer was less than 1 year old and it's a Kenmore (not like it's a no-name brand). The only change in our habits at the time was that we starting using the dryer balls. We assume it must have been them. We got our dryer fixed and haven't a problem since. No more dryer balls though!
