John Frieda Hair Coloring Foam
Pros: Not messy, easy to use, lasts a long time, easy to find product, pleasant scent
Cons: Pricey (price has come down since its launch)
Ive just used this product for the first time today and I gotta say, it was the easiest at home color event ever! Ive been coloring my hair since a teen. I typically use the liquid mixture with the consistency syrupy-gel like.
This product is real easy to use. The instruction sheet is in color with full pictures and direct instructions. The gloves are packed in a small plastic bag, not folded in with the instructions like the other brands do. After you mix the product you screw on the foam dispenser. Then all you do is squeeze the product into your gloved hand and put it on your hair, as you would shampoo. I was amazed on the coverage during my first application. I thought, wow thats quick!
The product smells nice and throughout my application, it never dripped once! Not on me or on the floor.
Although this product is a bit high in price (usually you can find a coupon), I do highly recommend it. The color of my hair is perfect. Its full of shine and I didn't miss any spots. It comes in about 20 different shades and they all look very natural.
I have long hair (to my lower back) and the instructions say to use the whole bottle for shoulder length to long hair. I tried to use the whole bottle, but I still had about a couple teaspoons left and by then my hair was just saturated and didn't finish the bottle. So at first, after mixing it will look like its not enough, but believe me - it is!
