Pros: yummy, good concept, creates quick and easy meals

Cons: price is a bit much for what you are actually paying for

I tried this and thought it was so good!  I flatted the chicken breasts and stuff them with cream cheese.  Then I dipped them in the mixture and baked it.  Wow it was so good!  We have eaten it twice since I first tried it a couple months ago.

The only thing is that it is a bit pricey for basically just being a bit of bread crumbs and cheese. I will tell you that I did try making something like this myself at home and it didn't work. The bread crumbs in the Fresh Take packages kind of match the consistency of the cheese.  The bread crumbs I used were prepackaged and almost the consistency of wheat flour.  So it was difficult to get the bread crumbs and cheese to cover at the same time.

This is a great product, especially if you have a coupon or can find it on sale.  It's also really awesome for a super quick and easy dinner.  Just dip your chicken or pork chops in the mixture, bake, and done!

I got a free coupon from Kraft First Taste to try the new Kraft Fresh Take.  My store didn't have a lot of flavor options, so I picked the Cheddar Jack & Bacon.  I thought the idea of the Fresh Take was a little silly - how hard is it to mix your own shredded cheese and breadcrumbs?  Then I saw that it also includes a bag for coating your meat, which I thought was smart.

When you open the package, the divider between the breadcrumbs and cheese opens and you can automatically mix them in the bag, the same bag you will use for coating. So you don't have to pour anything.  Just wet your meat and mix it up with the coating, then put it on the baking tray.  I butterflied my chicken breasts and was able to coat about 2 1/2 lbs of meat with the mix.

The bacon smell was very powerful, when I first opened the package and during baking.  This was a plus for my family - my kids love bacon.  Everyone in my family loved this flavor.  The coating mix was super flavorful, either from the spices or bacon, or both.

The only thing I didn't like about this was that while the top of my chicken crisped up nicely, the bottom was kind of soggy. Maybe the chicken needed to be turned over during baking. Or maybe my non-stick mat is to blame.

The regular price at my Walmart was $2.09. I definitely wouldn't pay that, but it would be worth trying with a $1 coupon.
