Music to feed your soul.
I have been a fan of James Taylor and Carly Simon for as long as I can remember. It would be hard to imagine that anyone that is a product of those two could produce anything not worth listening to and Ben Taylor's newest CD just proves me right.
I first heard Ben Taylor on one of my favorite movie soundtracks, "Bye Bye Love", where he remakes The Beatles "I Will" and I've loved him ever since. And that is saying alot because being a huge Beatles fan I generally do not tend to like remakes of their songs. However, there was just something about Ben's version. I listened to a few more of his tracks on youtube after that and I'm sad to say that after that, I kind of forgot about him. So, I'm so glad now to get the chance to hear him again.
His voice in a word to me is soul. His tone is soothing, romantic and takes you away. I can put this on and immediately feel myself relax which is nice in this ever stressful life.
While there wasn't any songs on the CD that I wasn't particularly fond of my favorites, the ones that you tend to wear out, are "Listening", "Not Alone", "Worlds are Made of Paper", and "Vespa's Song".
All in all, if you haven't heard Ben Taylor, give this boy a listen. I think you'll be glad that you did.
