Awesome Movie! Completely Underated
Pros: great cast, great plot, great acting, good balance of humor, drama, and adventure
Cons: some violence, def. not good for the smaller kids
Stardust is an original kind of fairy tale based on two worlds, steps apart, divided by a stone wall. No one ever crosses the wall so each land is a mystery to the other. Tristan is the main character. Trying to impress the girl of his dreams, he attempts to cross the wall. Finding out that his mother is from the other side starts him on a crazy adventure with stars, pirates, and witches.
It's a great movie with a fantastic cast including, Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfieiffer, and Claire Danes. the actor who plays Tristan is not one I have ever seen before but he does an excellent job. I was drawn into the story right away. The mix between humor, drama, adventure, and mystery is great. The balance keeps you entertained through the twists and turns.
Stardust was completely under advertised when it came out several years ago so it's unknown to a lot of people. I would definitely suggest this as a family movie. There are some scary and sometimes slightly gory scenes. So keep the little ones away during this one.
