Challenge: Find a small crack in your financial foundation.

No one is perfect when it comes to sealing all of the cracks where our money is leaking out. So this week, identify one area that you would consider a crack in your financial foundation. They don't have to be, and probably won't be, large. It is the small stuff that we over look.

Here is mine...LAUNDRY. I am the world's worst for either having to re-wash a load that I forgot was in the washer or having to re-fluff a load that I was drying because it got wrinkled. My goal is to not have to re-wash or re-fluff any loads this week.

What crack are you going to try to seal this week?

I can relate to the laundry leak! It urks me beyond belief.

Another one I am famous for is checking out books at the library only to forget to return them on time. I hate the fact that I get the books for free and then have to pay for them. This one gets me angry every time.

Forgetting to turn down the heat at night.

Not checking my pantry and having bought too many of one item.

Buying for others, is my biggest flaw!

I love buying stuff for the granddaughters!

Now I have a hard time seeing your generous heart as a flaw...

But I know what you mean.

But I know what you mean.

It is a flaw to my budget

But most of the time it is on sale, and I just can't say no to a good sale, whether they really need it or not!

My biggest flaw is eating out or getting carryout food. I don't even want to know (maybe that's the problem) how much money we waste there. The ONLY time we haven't done that was when Forget the Jones first started and we were good the whole time. But we quickly backslid. I need to stop that again!!!

Mine is very easy to identify-- food. Whether it is junk at the grocery store or going out to eat. We are doing a little better, but man we must just really love food! It also doesn't help that my husband works out a ton so he needs to eat for about five people! We also love really high quality stuff....like eating out isn't Mcdonalds for us...it will be sushi or a nice Thai restaurant.....dang our parents exposing us to great food!

This is me too. I was nearly perfect during the three week FTJ spending freeze, but quickly realized how much I truly enjoy Chinese take-out. Lucky for us we have a place nearby that's really inexpensive and I consider it a somewhat frugal luxury.

I know I need to re-evaluate our cell phone plans to see if we have the one that makes the most sense for us. I am not sure if I'm ready to drop the landline, but that's one way we could save money.

For us too - it's eating out and takeout. We're trying to cut back and we don't really ever get anything really expensive. It happens because we're so busy and I can't stand thought of cooking or even preparing food some nights!

Eating out. Kim...I'm with you on the chinese food...We do it every few weeks as a "treat" (This down from once a week!).

And baths...I love an evening bath...but showers are so much more economical...
