Christmas treat ideas for kids school parties??

Any fun & festive ideas for treats to take?? I signed up to take treats for
ds2's (kindergarten) party and I dont know what to take. It does have to be some what on the healthy side. Last party I sent celery sticks with a can of cheese and peanut butter. I wanted to do something fun but still a little healthy-no cookies with tons of frosting. Also maybe something that wont cost a fortune as I may double it and send some to ds1's (1st grader) party too. TIA!!

Does the school say the snack have to be healthy? I've never HEARD of a healthy snack at a party!!! That's no fun!! At my kids they always had things like cookies. But I do like m2m's idea.

you got me on a roll now......

Take mini-bagels, spread w/cream cheese (tinted w/green food color), top w/green sprinkles,or green-tinted coconut to look like little wreaths.

keep food coloring in mind....

say you make banana muffins.......tint 1/2 the batter green/ 1/2 red then alternate batters in the muffin tins and bake.

Well on the newsletter it says healthy than lists things like cheese and crackers, summer sausage, etc. They get crackers and store bought cookies every day because we parents have to supply two snacks per month (one salty and one sweet snack) so that is why I was looking at something different than taking a box of crackers or something. I could do cheese since I have a ton of it. M2M does have some good ideas!!

Here is what I decided to do since the recipe does make a lot. It is not festive as far as red and green, but still on the healthy side.

Recipe: Mini Pumpkin Muffin Mix - Very Best Baking - NESTLE VeryBestBaking.com

This would make great gifts to give out too!!

Do schools still let you bake treats for kids to bring to school, or does your school require that they're prepackaged?
