Do your dd's have friends like this? - Page 2

Yes, my daughter's friends love playing dress up. I have a big tote of clothes for them in the basement. In it are some things I found at thrift stores, my old prom dresses, and some costumes I got on clearance as well as accessories like purses, hats, necklaces, gloves, etc. Her "real" clothes are off-limits.

We also have a rule that the friends have to help clean up what they got out before they go home. What doesn't get cleaned up is the responsibility of my own kids. It makes them really encourage their friends to help.

We have a huge bag of dress up clothe in all sizes, and a few that would work for boys, too. There is no way that I would let them play with dd's real clothes. I'm sorry, but I try to buy her nice things, and I don't have money to replace them. Besides, she usually wears play clothes when friends are over bc they get into the makeup and nail polish, and I don't want her good clothes ruined. That little girl would not come back to my house. You either follow my rules in my house or you can stay away.
