HUGE TARGET RUMOR-black friday???

Ok, I was told this by my girlfriend....

she said that target, like some other stores will honor a sale price if you bought the item within 14 days of it going on sale. So, she claims that you can PRESHOP some of the black friday deals that can be found in the store now, then bring in your receipt on black friday and they will honor the black friday price...

i am going to call my target in the morning and see if this is legit..if it is, this would be awesome! why bother waking up early when you can preshop?

anyone with anymore info on this or is this all hype??????

im heading to target in the morning, so i'll ask there...............

All I can see is that you have to stand in the customer service lines to do this, and the lines there are going to be long anyway. At least at mine. Thanks for the tip!

I do that anyway. To avoid the crazy line, I do my shopping a few days before B-Friday. If something I wanted anyway goes on sale then Friday I go to Customer Service and ask for the difference back. They do it on a regular basis anyway so why would this be any different. Besides, there are NO LINES in customer service on Friday so it makes it all the sweeter!

blackfriday.info posted the target black friday ad today. i don't remember what they have but most of the retailers ads are already posted on that website. i am going to see if there is anything of value and buy things early in the week and then get a price adjustment on Black Friday. i think 7 days is the limit in ny state.

I asked at my Target today and they will give you a price adjustment on BF within 14 days of purchase! Yeah! No standing outside in the snow and cold!

I know of one thing I'm kicking myself over (I finished Christmas shopping awhile ago) is the Barbie Totally Real house- on sale for $18.88 (got it at Walmart for $27)- they are also having the Barbie Stocking on sale for $6 (youngest is realy getting into Barbie!)- they seem to be having a good deal on some of their stuff!

Here's the trick if you pre-shop at Target. You have to go to Target during the sale to get the price adjustment. I tried this last year, but went back on Saturday or the next Monday and they told me that they couldn't honor the price adjustment.

I'm also going to ask if they will price match their competitors (Wal-Mart, Best Buy, etc.) if I go on the same day early AM. I'll have to remember to bring the circulars, but it might be worth it.

I know last year, Target would not honor other stores sale ads. It may depend on the area you live though.
