Well said.

I am mad too -because I swear I try to stay on top of things, but yet, when there is supposed to be money there, it seems it has somehow slipped away, and I don't know where it went.
That is why I am such a big fan of the spending freeze - if I am not spending the money I should be able to see things much more clearly -- I just wish I could freeze the bills too LOL -give me a month to catch up, and stop having to cling to every penny so desperately.
so that is my frustration for the day - haven't even started on my dreams list yet

I'm sorry you're having to deal with all of that. Those bills are frustrating, but it must be of some relief that you're not digging yourself deeper right now. Allow yourself to dream, if only to escape reality for a short time on a rough day. Hang in there!

I went and read your blog, Swishina. Good job! You nailed this assignment. Your list looks like a lot like mine! (Minus having more kids and taking a hot air balloon ride, that is. Two children is plenty for me and I am afraid of heights! )

Was behind and just got started today. Many of my goals center on being more financially stable and closer to God. Hope to keep up the spending freeze. Had another birthday party that 5 year old was invited to that had not accounted for. I am thinking of her choosing which one to go to to stay within our approved spending list.

Finally did my goals. Let myself escape reality and just dream for a bit. I got 40 of them, I am sure with some more time I could have more.
Surprisingly, many are for health and happiness of those I love and myself. Yes, some monitary, like being financially healthy and never being late on a bill again! Which I can see starting to happen as soon as the freeze is over (coincidental thats when I start a new contract that is rather lucrative for 3 months). I also want a savings of atleast $2000, and start funding the college savings for the kids.
But the majority, like I said was health and relationship things.

I'm falling behind. Still haven't done the mission statement, but definitely like the idea of starting with the end of the "Coffee" analogy. Started my dream list, but it only has about 20 items. Returning to work and starting an online class took up a lot of my time for today. But I still haven't spent any money. Have 1/2 tank of gas left and my work is only 7 miles from home, so I might be able to make it through until the end of the freeze! I have all my meals planned for this week including a 9 pound ham that will make LOTS of meals.
DS got invited to a birthday party on Monday evening from a girl at his preschool that I don't even know. Very sweet that the parents included everyone, but he didn't seem too interested in going so we didn't. No present needed, no gas wasted!
I am wanting to start a blog as I have SOOO much going on in my head about this whole FTJ project and how it has revealed to me the real reasons I work.....and most of it is NOT about the money. But, alas, that will have to wait until this weekend when I have the time to figure out how to do that.

(p.s. is there a catch up day planned for us slackards? )

I have a bunch of goals. Long term and short term goals. Some are a little far fetched. But it is still a dream/goal!

I'm up to 44. This is an incredible assignment and Kim you were right, writing them down makes all the difference. My husband and I take turns saying a goal and it's incredible how it reveals what your values are.
Doing well with the spending freeze, we did buy a freezer which we had planned for months... actually at the time we competely forgot about the spending freeze, becuase we wrote a check and mailed it... sometimes doing online even check purchases just "slip by" because you're not getting out your wallet. Otherwise we have been good!
