Which activities cause you to lose all track of time?

Which activities cause you to lose all track of time? You find that they're so absorbing that you tune out external distractions. When was the last time that happened to you? What were you doing?

Hint: We're focusing on activities here, meaning that you're actually doing something, so it can't be a passive activity like watching TV (yes, I know some shows can be really engrossing).

Reading a book. Time flies when I'm really into a good plot. Does that count as an "activity" ? I haven't been reading too much fiction lately, so its been a while since that has happened.

Yes! Reading counts. That's a good one.

I find that when I'm researching and writing articles, I tend to lose track of time. When I used to scrapbook, I'd have to say that was a good way to get engrossed in an activity, too. Gardening or doing certain outdoor chores I also find very therapeutic and relaxing.

Anyone else? What gets you "In the Zone?"

Sometimes when I'm grocery shopping I go down every aisle. I can spend 2 hours when I go and not even realize it. When I have my "girl" shopping day with my friends too. My BF and I spent 6 hours at the mall once and didn't realize why we were so hungry!

Reading a good book.

I look up things online to use with dd's schoolwork and lose track of time going from one thing to another.

Working on the computer totally makes me lose time. Sometimes that's good, sometimes that's bad.

When I used to have more time and space to sew, THAT would totally make me lose all track of time. Gosh, I miss sewing.

Playing around on the computer, doing a budget, cutting out coupons, reading a book, and just shopping with friends and family.

-Browsing on mommysavers.com has made me lost track of time already!!
-Browsing at thrift stores or craft stores
-Making wedding plans (I am so indecisive)
-Going thru my garage trying to clean it out. I could easily spend all day in there if I do not have a clock around!
