Can you freeze hummus?

Publix is having a sale this week on hummus (the really expensive brand) plus I have a bunch of coupons so I'll be getting it for $1 (reg.$3.99) Can you freeze hummus? If not then how long will it normally last? I normally can only buy one at a time and not very often.

I googled "freeze hummous" and got a lot of hits. Most people indicate you can, but that it might alter the taste/texture a little. Some suggest pouring a little olive oil on the top before freezing. Some pointed out they saw it frozen/thawing in the grocery store, so it was apparently delivered that way.

I freeze it all the time with no ill effects.

Do you freeze it in it's original container?

I've never tried freezing hummus, but it sounds like it's working for all of you.  I would imagine (per Calimari's suggestion) adding a little olive oil and re-blending may help with the consistency issue. I like the ALDI hummus and it's really reasonable.
