This is something I need to figure out.My tummy is the huge problem for me.Sometimes it swells up and I am not gasy. And the next morning it is back down. And it is never one thing like pepper or onion cuz I know what those do to me .Really is it soduim from seasonings?Or prepackaged foods do this to you?

Any web site to look at learn about this?Any info would be great for the whole family so this doesn't happen.

I know pop can do this but I hardly ever touch pop.Mostly water.

I used to have an issue with yeasty things - and often sugar too. Cutting those out helped knock out the massive bloating I'd get (and also other things like frequent yeast infections).

It might be water retention from sodium. You've already eliminated most of the other possibilities. I know when I eat wheat / gluten I wake up the next morning with horrible post-nasal drip and big puffy bags under my eyes.

Have you considered keeping a food diary?

This probably doesn't pertain to you, but this website is very informative for those with stomach issues, if you weed thru the information i think it might list somewhere what foods will cause you problems. Irritable Bowel Syndrome ~ Help For IBS Treatments & Education

Do you have discomfort when you are bloated? I would also keep a food diary because you might have developed some food allergies. I would track your food for one week and then call your doctor.

Are you eating a lot of dairy? That could do it. I'm sorry, but I don't know about pre-packaged foods. It seems that if it were the sodium it wouldn't be concentrated just in your belly area.

I go to the doctors next week for my yearly check up.I will keep a journal till then and show it to him and see what he thinks I should do.I do not eat much dairy at all.I should be eating more or taking a calcium tablet.I do not feel any discomfort when I am bloated unless it would be gas .I never thought of a food allergies but that could be a possiblility.

Thanks for adding to this.

My stomach swells like that when I eat something I'm allergic to. Corn is most often what causes it for me.

If you are allergic to a fairly common food like milk, corn, wheat, or soy, that could be the problem. Forms of those foods are in a lot of different prepacked foods, even ones you wouldn't suspect.
