Middle names......did you choose carefully? - Page 3

My girls both have family middle names. My older dd's middle name is Clare after 2 great grandma that are named Clara. My other dd's middle name is Kay after another great grandma. The next girl will have my middle name Marie and our first boy will have my husbands middle name David, which is also his grandpa's middle name and I think his great grandpa's middle name too.
I wish we could've used Clara, but her name is Dacia and I couldn't have both names end in a. My brother had a girl last year and her name is Sydnee Clara. When she was born my brother told me "we used the whole name". I felt bad and wish they hadn't of used Clara.

My oldest son's name is Caleb Anakin...yes, that's as in Anakin Skywalker from Star Wars (can you tell my husband is a Star Wars geek?). My husband also wanted a child named after him in some way (and using Joseph worked for me since I did not want a junior). We also thought it was funny when we looked up the meaning of Joseph. It means "God shall add (another son)" - and he was our second boy.

If we ever have a girl, her middle name will be Amrah after a character in the book "Tradewinds" by MM Kaye.

We had both our kids first names picked out way before the middle name. In fact my ds almost didnt get a middle name at all b/c we couldnt find one that went w/ the first name that we had picked out. His name is Julian Elias. Julian after my grandpa that passed away. We found Elias right before ds was born and it just fit so well together. Ds also goes by Elias just the same as my grand dad went by his middle name. His name was Theodore Julian.

As for our dd we had her name picked out when we decided to start trying to another. We found Camden but wanted to spell it Camdyn for a girl. Then we found Everly. Which is another boys name but we changed the spelling to Everlee for her middle name. Once we found out we were prego we tried picking out a boys name but just never found any that )we really liked. Guess it was a sign that we were meant to have a girl. ;

My oldest's middle name is Lucille. She goes by her middle name.

My youngest's middle name is Fern. I wanted that as the first name. We are big into the outdoors and the environment (and I love old lady names) so I thought a plant name would be nice - Iris, Violet, etc. A fern thrives in the shade and I thought it would be a cool name for a little sister in the "shade" of a big sister. DH didn't like it for a first name but he was cool with it has a middle name.

I really love old lady names and uncommon but not weird names.

All of our middle names are family type names.

DD#1 Ashlynn was something we liked and dh did not care for Marena as a first names hence, Ashlynn Marena. Marena was my great great grandmothers middle name.

DD#2 Brooklyn we loved before we had dd#1 but didn't use it. She has my middle sisters name of Melissa. I wanted that because my sister has Down's Syndrome and I know that she is special and may not be around as long as we are.

DD#3 Kaylin is a combination of DH mothers middle name-Kay- and my mothers first name of Linda, hence, Kaylin. Her middle name is Michelle because DH refused to have a boys middle name be the same as his-Michael- so I gave it the feminine version of it.

To this day I wish that I would have named DD#3 Addilyn because she was born on my grandmother Adelines birthday and she is exactly like her!

Of course the Lynn theme......I guess I just kept going with it. Good thing we are done having kids I have know idea what the next one would be!!!:D

Then we also have all "M" middle names since mine is Marie. I think that we have way to many things going on in our family for names!! We even considered Kaylins name be spelled with a C..Caelyn so that we could have ABC's...don't ask

DD #1 middle name is Claire (Her first and middle names are the maiden names of my mom and MIL)

DD#2 middle name is Faith. Wanted something special, but used the good family names w/ dd1. So, we thought of Biblical names and nothing really stood out except faith

Luke's first name is actually from Star Wars!! Dh always wanted to say "Luke, I am your father!":D

My daughter is Kayla Ann - Kayla just cause i liked it and Ann after my grandmother who passed away when i was 15 ( 16 years ago ) her name was Beverly Ann

if Kayla would of been a boy she wouldof been Benjamin Eli - both names are after my husbands grandfather and his grandfathers brother .

My ds has my husbands middle name Andrew.

My dd middle is Nicole because I liked it and it flowed with her first name. I thought about giving her my middle name but I wanted something more original than Lynne.

with my oldest dd I combined mine,my mothers,grandma and many generations....lol...middle name...ANN and my mils and many generation of hers IRENE and came up with

IREANNA......ALYSON IREANNA


my baby...well she is 4 but my baby...lol...she got her dads middle nameALLEN only spelled in a feminine way....
ALLYNN...KACEE ALLYNN
