Kmart going out of business

All of our Kmart stores around here have gone out of business or are starting the process. Is anyone else's?

I don't know but I've never liked Kmart. I told dh that they could give it away for free and I wouldn't shop there.

Ours are still here - we have two, but my friend in SC said the one in her city closed.

That would make me sad, but doesn't surprise me. I am big Kmart shopper, especially when they have their double coupon weeks.

A few years ago a lot of KMarts closed. I don't know how they survive really, the one near me, the times I've been in there, their prices are so much higher than all the other places I shop. I end up telling people "that's on sale this week at Target" or "you can get those at WalMart for $1.39!". LOL I do like the Martha Stewart pillows from KMart, maybe I should go stock up!

I wouldn't be surprised if Kmart, along with Sears (which holds KMart) just went under completely.

I moved this into What's In Store.

Our's are still open....and are busy too. You should see all the Mothers' Day deals they have going on

Click on this link and then click the KMART tab at the top of the screen: http://www.mommysavers.com/deals/sears.htm

That's from 2002...

There are two around here that are still open. I never shop at them because they're out of the way for me. There was one that was just 10 minutes away from me, but they closed that one down in their first big round of store closings years ago. I did shop at that one because they used to have good sales.

I think the only thing that's keeping Kmart going right now is their layaway plan. I think they're one of the only stores left that still has this.

the one in the town to the south of my is still open. They actually can be pretty darn busy at times.
