The past couple years at mommysavers, I have learned alot about coupons that I didn't know. I guess you could call them, "tricks of the trade." So what are some tips that you may have picked up when it comes to couponing, that can help others save more money!
Here is my first one, and the most important one that I use:
Coupons tend to be put out by season, which also tend to correspond with the grocery store sales.
Ex: during the holidays, you will find coupons in your Sunday inserts for things like flour, sugar, brownie mix, and other baking supplies. Whereas, in the summer, you can find more coupons for barbq sauce and other kind of condiments to go along with the summer season.
So what I do is buy all that think I will use in a year. I mean we use barbq sauce all year round, so why wait until winter to buy the sauce, when it's on sale and there are coupons in the summer. It goes for anything your family uses. This past winter, I bought enough baking supplies that I shouldn't need to buy anymore until oct or nov.
So, plan ahead when using coupons, if you find a good deal, plus you have extra coupons, think about whether or not you will need those products in a few months!
