Welcome to the board!

DH restores old cars and works on heavy machines at work, so I know exactly what you are talking about.

I soak his clothes in dish detergent that you use in electric dishwashers. I pre-treat them with dawn dish detergent.

My DH has worked in the oilfields for years. Dawn works great at getting out those stains and if its a lot of grease I add a 20 oz. bottle of Coca-Cola and wash twice. Something in the Coca-Cola helps get rid of the grease.

Thank you so much I'm going to try the dawn but does it matter what kind it is?

The coke also helps get blood out-but not sure on clothes- and cleans toilets! I once read an article about 20 uses for Coke other than drinking it!
