Go back and request a refund for the difference in price?
No. I paid the price it was at the time I bought it - the store doesn't owe me a refund of the difference.

Most store policies are they will refund the difference if its within 2 weeks of purchase. I will do it if it is worth driving back to the store for. I wont go for 50c obviously, but if its a significant savings, you betcha.

I have before at Target I think their policy is 7 days!

Phoenix, Its not cheating or stealing. I honestly think they advertise it I am betting it works in their favor as some would go in get the difference and then proceed to spend MORE money in their store JMO

My mistake, then. I have never seen such a policy advertised and didn't know there were stores who did this.
If it's the store's policy to offer such refunds, and if the difference is worth the cost of the gas to go back, then I see no problem with it.

Depending on the distance I have to drive to get to the store, and what I'm actually saving, I would do it. I've done this with Target in our town and saved $5 doing it, but Target is only about a mile from our house and I was going there anyway.

If it's worth it to go back, yes I would- and I have

I agree momof2boys they advertise it, I'm going to utilize it (and sometimes they win- I shop again )

A lot of stores do offer the credit, although obviously, it varies widely, store to store.

I've never bought anything, that within the time period, went on sale that it was such a significant price difference, that I went back in with it. If it did happen though, I might. It really just depends.

I used to be the office mgr. at a large department store. We had customers regularly come in for adjustments when what they bought went on sale. We were OK with that. In fact, some customers, knowing something was about to go on sale, would buy it at full price a couple-of-days before and come back during the sale for an adjustment. They did that so they would be sure to get the size/color, etc. they wanted.
