Does shopping at Sam's club save money? - Page 2

For us, Sam's Club has great prices on milk, cheese, and bulk rice. We also use it for clothing deals and things for the home. We bought a sofa there last year.

I must say bulk stores like Sam's Club aren’t always the best deal. Often their prices are higher or similar to a grocery store’s sales price. In addition to having to worry about your bulk size purchase spoiling you have to worry about the larger size leading to increased consumption.

I love my Sam's membership. We buy all sorts of stuff there. I can get chicken breasts for $1.97/lb. The local grocery stores never have that good of a price and the butcher can't beat it. We buy our dog food there as we have a large breed dog that eats a lot. I also buy my allergy meds there. I take the generic form of Claritin. 400 pills for $13. I save my membership cost in allergy meds alone.
