dd (6) told me today when she is a woman she will have her own money and be able to buy what she wants. She's going to Kmart and get that pink skirt she wants when she is 35

Mine told me the other day that when she grows up, she's never going to pick up anything and I won't be able to make her.

Well, DD can't talk yet, but I am sure, in her own way, she has told me how much better she had it in Ethiopia, how she didn't have to take naps in Ethiopia, how she was allowed to pinch people AND dogs in Ethiopia, etc. Yep, I am pretty sure she has tried to say that. Oh, and I am pretty sure she has told me that she was allowed to play with electrical outlets and cords in Ethiopia as well.

It is nice, when you DON"T know what they are saying! Enjoy it while you can!

DD use to get mad when I wouldn't spend $60 on used jeans (that is the brand name) that were popular when she was growing up. But the thing is they were faded and full of holes and patches. I told her that if that is what she wanted, then just keep on wearing the old ones that she had. She would tell me that her kids would get what they wanted.

Now that her kids are teenagers, I have notice that they DON'T get what they want! And certainly not $60 for worn out jeans.

DD(2 years) keeps saying "Time out mama" and drags me to her TO place if I do not let her do what she wants. I have no idea what the kid thinks of herself.

Riley told me today that his dad was going to take him to see his big brother "SWEAR at the Army"!!!!!  ROTF.gif  I had to ask him twice before I understood.  My older son is having his "SWEARING IN" Ceremony today!!!!!  ROFL!!!!

So I'm reading this, not realizing how old the thread is, and I'm thinking, what the heck??  She can talk!  All these old threads coming up are confusing me. ROTF.gif

All these old threads being bumped up are confusing me too. I think they're new and then realize they're YEARS old and I've already responded to them then.
