\tFrugal \tSummer Fun:  Fan Mail  What costs the price of a \tfirst-class stamp, requires creative writing, and gets school-aged kids \texcited to do more? Writing fan mail!  If your school age kids are \talready saying, "Mom, I'm bored!" this could be a fun (and frugal) way to \tprovide rainy day entertainment.  My own nine-year-old just received a \tletter and photo personally autographed by Robin Williams.  Read more \tabout it...

\t\t\tCreative Uses for Empty Squirt Bottles We use \tthe empty trigger spray bottles to play freeze tag in the summer. You \tessentially have to be close enough to touch so it's more similar to the \toriginal version instead of just turning into a squirt gun fight. We would \talso use them to play capture the flag, cops and robbers, etc. In those \tinstances we'd fill them with food coloring and water so we could make teams \t(blue team and red team, for example. If you were blue, we got ya!). It also \teliminated the "you really didn't touch me" fights! -- Member Karen1985
 

\t\t\tIce Cream in a Bag
\tThis is SOOO easy... and delicious! In a small ziplock bag, put:
\t1/2 C. half and half (milk works too)
\t1 Tbsp. sugar
\t1 tsp. vanilla
\t
\tInsert that bag into a larger, one gallon Ziplock filled with ice and salt. \tShake the bag for five minutes. Kids love that part! Then, remove the \tsmaller bag which should have turned into ice cream.
