Seeded or Seedless Watermelon?

As far as I can remember we always bought seedless watermelon. Nowadays, I am wondering if I should buy seeded? Will I have to keep on removing the seeds to eat it peacefully? What do you buy? I have heard that the seeded ones are really sweet.

I buy the seedless watermelon, just easier with DS eating it. I don't have to worry about picking all the seeds out for him.

What I can't figure out is where did regular watermelon go? Whenever I see watermelons, they are small and round - maybe somewhat oval. Always seedless. When I grew up, watermelons were very long - huge! They had seeds and they were often sold cut in half or quarters. I can't find those big long watermelons anywhere. And watermelon doesn't taste anywhere near as good as it used to, so I want to find the regular ones again.

I can't find the big seeded ones either, I have only seen seedless the last couple of years. It seems to me they are not as sweet too.

I buy what is on sale. The seeded ones taste better. They have them at Meijers.

We have a farmers market near us that has them. You are right...they are so much better than the smaller ones. That little market is the only place I have seen them though.

We always buy the kids a seedless one from the store so Idon't have to pick out the seeds.

I wish I could find the regular ones again too.

I have been wondering the same thing , every time I go to the grocery store! Those small round ones are not what I used to see in the stores.
Thankfully roadside produce stands are about every 2 miles along the road around here, and they have the normal ones like I am used to.

Ladies, you must all move over to the south - they have the long oval seeded ones in the stores all the time. They have a crate of the seeded huge round ones and the seedless huge oval ones.

And since you all rave about the seeded oval ones, I will buy one tomorrow before it disappears.
