We rent our home. It is not too bad, lots of room, a basement, no yard work...however it is a dream of ours to own a home. We are working on getting DH's credit back up and saving up for a down payment. We would love to move to a better school district before Rebecca starts school.

I love my house and where I live. there is alot I still want to do to the house and outside but have done alot already. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else unless I could have 5+ ACRES to put a house on. Then I would move.

We, like many others have said, own our house along w/ the bank. I love our house, although I wish we could live in a different neighborhood. But our house has plenty of space to grow in...we made sure we got a house big enough that if we had to stay there forever we would fit in it. It isn't my ultimate dream house, but atleast we are able to afford the payments on one income.

Renters.... SO MUCH Cheaper that owning a house in our immediate neighborhood. Literally the house next door is extactly the same, and I know their mortage is 2.5x's what we pay in rent.

Being renters, we have the ability to save more than 65% of our take home, don't have to worry about upkeep (landlord painted house, replaced furnace and replaced stove in last 9 months).

What I dislike about being a renter is that I always have the fear that rent will be raised, but unless it doubles we still come out way ahead.

That being said, we are saving money for downpayment/ outright purchase, but will only do so when we can get out of the city and onto a nice patch of land.

I own. I love my house and do not plan on moving anytime soon...this is my first new home (all others were resale)!

We own but will probably be renters again next year when we move to one of Canada's most expensive cities where the houses are WAY out of our price range.

We own most of it. We had to do some additions and we owe for that. We have 8.5 acres of land so I am very happy with where we are. No way we could ever find that much land anywhere else.
