Fly Lady says you should shine your sink everyday, that is the first step to getting your house organized and cleaned. Just wondering if anyone shines their sink everyday? I make sure mine is
before I go to bed so I wake up to a clean kitchen.

I do mine every time I finish in the kitchen. I can't stand a dirty sink or dirty dishes piled up.

hahahaha. no. I do try to keep it clear of dishes, but I definitely don't "shine" it. I'm no good at stuff like that.

Mine's filled with dishes right now! I wish I were better about that, I can't stand it, but it's so low on the list of priorities for me... Maybe I should go do it now before I go to bed....

I dont shine my sink. I try to make sure there are minimal dirty dishes in it though and if they are, they are to be rinsed out. My kids do the dishes in the evenings and sometimes I have to "remind" them to clean the crud from the sink, but they dont shine it.

Not in this lifetime. I looked into Flylady once, but it's too intense for me.
We fill the sink with soapy water, pile the dirty dishes in it to soak, and when it gets full, move them to the dishwasher, and drain the sink. With just the two of us, sometimes the sink fills up more slowly than others, and that's okay too. Letting the dishes soak, even overnight, keeps food from getting dried on them.
We're not the kind of people who require the house to meet the cleanliness status of an operating room, and I definitely don't lie awake nights worrying about whether my sink is shiny or not.

Heck NO! Way more things important than my kitchen sink!

Not 'shine' per se, but I do use soap and my sponge to wash it up each evening, along with running some ice cubes thru my disposal. I shine it up about once a week when I "clean" the kitchen (dust, mop floor, polish appliances etc) I'm really anal about my disposal and the ice really cleans it out. I set out a clean kitchen towel each evening and I'm all set to go for the next day.

I don't shine it everyday, but I do make sure it is clean everyday.
