Don't buy the prepackaged juice boxes.

Send apple or grape juice in a reusable plastic container.

Send leftovers

If they have access to a microwave go ahead and send leftovers they can heat up rather quickly.

Invest in a thermos. I have found many at garage sales for $2-$4 or buy one new about $12. IF you use it 4 times it will pay for itself. My dd hot lunches are $3.

I heat up soup/pasta/spaghettios almost any leftovers. It takes about 5-10 minutes in the morning. I always let the food get very hot before I put it in the container.

Don't enter me into the contest drawing as I have no interest in the prize, but one of my favorite snacks on the go for myself and for DS is yogurt or applesauce (in a reusable container) with some graham crackers for dipping.

I make banana mini muffins instead of banana bread during the school year. They are good for breakfast, lunch and as afternoon snack.

Don't buy the peanut butter Ritz. Just take store brand crackers and add your own peanut butter.

-Kids love anything they can dip. Send some ranch dressing in a reusuable plastic container. Send along small carrots, broccoli, or cauliflower if they will eat it.
