I also go to the day old bread store and buy their mini bagles for $1.50 a bag (they freeze well) and use them for bread for the kids. They love lunch meat or just cheese in them for lunch. For a snack they like to put cream cheese on them and snack. It is the perfect size for them.

I make my own breakfast sandwiches and freeze them.

Homemade biscuits (you can buy pilsbury with a coupon)
sausage or canadian bacon (bought with coupon)
eggs scrambled together with seasonings of choice but cooked in a pan flat so you can cut them to fit the biscuit.

I make about 20 or so at a time freeze them and they are ready for a quick breakfast. I priced them at $1 a peice at the warehouse club but I made them for .30 each!!

45 seconds in the microwave and you are ready to have breakfast and it taste much better than what you can get in a box.

my kids like nacho day at school, but it would cost me $6 for all of them to eat it. I buy a small can of nacho cheese $1.62 at Wal-Mart put it in snack cups. One can will do 6 snack cups. I can add homemade salsa to those who want it and I buy a big bag of chips and individually pack it.

This allows them to eat what everyone else is and it cost me a fraction of what it would if they ate at school.
