Does anyone sell Mary Kay?
I currently do have a home based business that I love and I did not need to invest a lot of money with. I made my money back plus some at my first party and have continued to make money. It has really changed my families lives.
I hope you hear my heart on this. If you want a home based business PLEASE research them and find one you will love that will not cost you and your family a fortune.
Good Luck and Blessings,
Crystal

I love the products, so I get 50% off everything that I buy.
In order to stay in MK, you just need to place a $200 order every YEAR. (this does not keep you "active," but you can still get the discount. Some people just do it for personal use and the requirement is a $200 order a year.
I work my business mostly from my home. It is hard for me to get out and do things with a 1 year old and 2 year old. I have over 50 loyal customers who reorder from me all the time because they love the products. I would say I make about $200 a month, and that is not doing much at all. You do have to WORK if you want to be successful with it.
However, back in February I did something called 24/24/24 and sold $24 to 24customers in 24 hours.. I sold almost $1000 in ONE DAY.. which means I made $500 that day. I am going to do that again this month because we need money!! The cool thing is it is YOUR business.. so you can do with it what you want! The more you do, the more successful you are!
I also currently have 3 active recruits right now. When they place an order, I get 4% commission off of their order from the company. Even $20 is better than nothing.

I would like to do more with it, but right now it's hard.
Someone mentioned about people having to get inventory. That is not something you have to do, and I do NOT pressure or recommend my recruits doing that until they build up their business and they have the extra money.
I know I would make more money if they did, BUT that's not the important thing. I want them to be happy and successful, and if they are not happy then they will drop out and it ends up hurting me in the longrun.
If anyone is interested in hearing more about the business, feel free to take a look at my website:
There are testimonials to watch (I believe).
You can also send me a personal message and I will be happy to discuss more with you.
I am honest and straightforward with everyone.. I am not one of those "pushy" Mary Kay women.. a lot of them are!!!!
Thanks for asking about MK.. and if you haven't tried the products lately, you should. Timewise and the mineral products are incredible.
Thanks!
Amy

I used to sell Mary Kay for many years. I thought I loved it but when I started moving up in the company I realized it was all about getting people to buy huge amounts of inventory. I just could not justify having people that really needed the money sink money into a business that if they failed they were stuck. They do reimburse you 90% of your money back on unused product, not samples and section 2 items and you also loss on your sales tax you paid. I've been out of Mary Kay for 3 years and I still have product.

It works great for some, but I never had any luck with it. I do use some of the products though.
I have been selling Mary kay off and on for about 10 years.I was under a differant director than who I am under now. I didn't have the guiddance that Ihave now. I have been under the most wounderful Director that I am under now,I get the proper training, the guddance and lots more.I am so glad that I stuck in and now that I have been under her for 5 years,I am now a Star Consultant, building my own team. It's all about the right person to get under. I now have 2 team members and working on more! I also Love Selling Mary Kay because I get the chance to meat new people, pamper them, and lots more reasons. I even got to go to Career Conferance this year and it was the best thing that could happen for me in my business,It open my eyes more to see Nation Directors,Millionairs. I am not just saying this.Their suits sparkle. I have been trained to always be there for your team members, don't sign them up just to get a team member and send them on there way, no that is not how I was trained to be.
Thank you and I hope to here from you soon,
Don't let this slip away from you,
God Bless you,
Lisa J.
Hey Purrkins24,
Hi I just wanted to let you know that I am a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant and I have been selling MaryKay for about 10 years off and on. I have learned that it really depends on the person that you are under. I have been down that road before. I had two Directors at differant times and If I needed something or needed them there at one of the parties, they would never return my phone call. It's like they just wanted me there to be a team member. I am now under the most great Director that I have been under for 5 years now. when I signed back up,I was able to get the new starter kit, still is $100.00 but you get a Starter Kit that has the Mary Kay logo,I Love it.that is the only thing that has changed oh and you actually get product, not just samples. My director is always there for me when I need her. we have a studio and we get 2 hours of Training.I am now a Senior Consultant. I Love it more than I did when I first started My Mary Kay business. I think you aught to try it out again, and no I'm not just trying to get you on my team,I think that you should try out again because you will get everything you deserve back, and that is for someone to be there when you need them. If you decide to give it another try and I hope you will.just send me an email and we can get you started. onemore thing that I need to add is that I also Love Selling Mary Kay because it gives you the chance to have God first, family second and career third.
Thank you and I hope to here from you soon,
God Bless you
I Love my Mary Kay
I agree 100%. I just started and did decide to take some inventory, but only because I had the money and time to dedicate to that. I have booked a few things already and plan to sell my inventory within about two months. I use the products so it works out great for me. I have a full time job in marketing and sales so this was a natural fit for me. Most women really like the products. I am not pushy either, and yes there are pushy sales people in any field. Mary Kay is no different. I get more sales by being real with people and by helping them find products that will work with their skin. Most people really appreciate that.
