Obama wins nobel peace prize. Why?
Hard to believe that a U.S. President can win a peace prize while engaged in two wars.
Can some one please inform me as to why Obama has gotten a Nobel Peace Prize when he has yet to do what he has gotten the prize for?

I am with you. I really fail to see what peace he has brought yet.

I don't get it either....It's Europe's passive comment on our changing policies and politics with the new administration. If you've ever traveled abroad (even to Canada) you will quickly find that most of the world doesn't like the U.S. as of late---and they HATED our former prez and his administration. Like it or not, this country and it's politics effects most of the free world, and the rest of the free world seems to like our new President (sigh). I always like to support our president even if I didn't vote for him, and I kinda like this guy but jeeze, lets see him actually DO something before we start rewarding him ya know?

I found this article very interesting: Obama Awarded Peace Prize - WSJ.com

Here is part of it:

"All nominations had to be submitted by Feb. 1, just 12 days after the president took office. Members of the committee selected him after holding seven meetings and eliminating nominated candidates at each one."

So, the questions that arise: Who nominated him? What did he do that would make him a candidate (and then actually being selected) after only being in office TWELVE days?
