Let's start a running tally of all things to add to your spreadsheet IN ADDITION to the obvious regular gifts for family and close friends. I'm sure I'm forgetting some that may be necessary for some people. Feel free to add to my list!
  • Santa gifts
  • Stocking stuffers
  • Gifts and stocking stuffers for pets
  • Gifts for teachers and other special people (classroom, Sunday School, activity leaders, coaches, day care providers, bus drivers, babysitters, etc.)
  • Gifts for bosses and other employees
  • Santa anonymous gifts
  • Tips for service people (hair stylists, postal service workers, etc.)
  • Other charitable giving (church donations, food pantry dontations, etc.)
  • Holiday travel (gas, food on the road, hotels, etc.)
  • Christmas tree and accessories (stand, ornaments, etc.)
  • Wreath
  • Christmas baking
  • Holiday meals/wine
  • Food for class parties
  • Holiday crafts
  • Christmas music or movies
  • Boxes, wrapping paper, bows, name tags, tape
  • Postage to send gifts out of town
  • Holiday cards
  • Postage for holiday cards
  • Holiday apparel (PJs for kids, clothing for holiday parties)

When you figure your Christmas baking, don't forget the containers that you will be using to give them away.

That's a good one. I was at the Dollar Store on Saturday and they have plenty of stuff for that, too. Thanks, Susie!

Food Pantry donations. All 4 of my kids are doing this at school and at church. Not that it's a whole lot of $, but it does add up.

Postal Carrier. I like to give a little to my postman/woman as I have built a relationship with them over the years.

I was at Dollar General on my lunch & they had pretty plastic metallic plates for $2, gingerbread plastic trays w/ a lip on them for $1.50 & really pretty glass plates with 2 snowmen on them for $1.50. I chose the snowmen plates & will put homemade sugar cookies on them for all teachers & bus driver.
