Do you vacuum every day? - Page 2

Once a week if I'm lucky but we don't have pets and don't wear shoes in the house so it's not too bad.

With the dog I really should- she is a short haired shedder. Most weeks I do it every other day, sometimes I skip a day or 2.

Normally, yes. I will skip a day when we've been gone all day and the dog hasn't been in the house, but if we're home part of the day then I vacuum. We have all hardwood with a couple of rugs, but I just like how thorough the vacuum is and I can go over the furniture real quick if I see a lot of cat hair.

Lately, no. I am just about 34 weeks pregnant and it hurts my back to vacuum. I have been sweeping at least once a day to try to maintain and only vacuum at least twice a week.

This bugs me since I am big on maintenance cleaning, it takes so much less time to do a quick clean once a day instead of a long, involved clean twice a week. I am still able to keep up on a load of laundry every day (unless I don't have a full load to do) and keep up on the dishes/kitchen counters.

Now, mopping, that's a different story , talk about a back killer...

See, in my mind I know this... and wish I cleaned everyday, but I'm lazy and keep it all till big cleaning days... I do hate this about myself, I wish I did more daily so that I don't have to do so much on cleaning days, but I don't. I am working on it though!

Not even close. I'm lucky if it gets done once a week. The smartest thing we ever did was rip out the white carpet and install the mushroom-colored stuff. It hides EVERYTHING!

For those of you that vacuum every day , how many rooms do you vacuum and do you vacuum couches and under furniture too ?

I could spend all day just vacuuming every room on every floor around here.I could never do it all in one day .

I vacuum every room from top to bottem once a week . I do the most lived in areas , twice a week.
I try to and like to clean everything and every room once a week - except bathrooms - thats daily. Dishes and wash is daily too.

Dish get done EVERY day dishwasher gets run when full. This has been working for me but the laundry is prob going to change here in a bit I might have to have 2 laundry days the kids and then dh's and mine.

You are off the hook for normal cleaning

If I do my maintenance cleaning every day then I only need to mop, clean bathrooms and dust every week. I do the deep cleaning as projects.
