I don't like my corn on the cob, cooked till it is mushy. So what I do is put the corn in and cook it till it starts to come to a fast boil. Turn off the heat, put a top on it and let it set in the water for at least 8 minutes.
I do this while I finish up my meal or finish cooking the bread.
Be sure to thaw it completely first (or else the corn is cooked to death before the cobs are warm). Then cook in boiling water about 5 - 7 minutes. I usually microwave it myself. It doesn't get so soggy that way.
