We don't eat hotdogs, but I buy chicken sausages that my kids like to eat in hot dog buns. A few of the sides we like are potato salad, corn on the cob and grilled zucchini.

We hardly every have hot dogs...my kids aren't huge fans, and they just gross me out completely. So I make them maybe once a year? My kids don't like them grilled or boiled, so I saute them in butter. They also don't like hotdog buns, they just cut them up on their plate. I serve them with baked beans, toast and sliced tomatoes with vinegar, salt/pepper on them.
