Anyone boil Then bake corned beef?

And if you do, does it dry out?

I'm wanting to do something different, and I have to tell you I haven't had a corned beef come out 'right' in years.

I'm thinking about boiling it the day before St. Patrick's day and then baking it the day of. Has anyone done this and did it come out OK? Thanks.

Nope...never heard of doing that. I can imagine that it would get dry. Is there a reason you want to bake it the next day?

I'm with Oregano. I've never baked corn beef. I've always just cooked it in liquid or in a crockpot.

I always do it in the crockpot. Comes out great every time.

I only bake mine. I bake at 325 for 2 2/2 hours. It comes out juicy and falling apart. Last time, I was tired, so I didn't add cabbage, but I did put onions and potatos.

I have done both ways. I just make sure I cover it with tin foil when I bake it and it always has come out juicy.

I cook it in water because that is how my family always made it.
