Although I am not a bit surprised, I am very disappointed. I hope that I am wrong in what a disaster I think this will be.

I'm confused why the student loan was added to a health care bill but I know that is how Washington works but I still don't understand it.

I am thrilled about that pre-existing clause is being removed because with DH's knee that thing has been a pain for us for years. He has bad knees, he originally hurt it in high school but it is an injury that was just wanting to happen at any point in his life. I also know it was a big pain when my brother had his heart attack and they switched insurers.

The rest of it ... it has been pushed through so quickly and so many people are against it.

According to the poll, it lliks like I'm the only one who thinks this is a good thing.

So far the wording is "pre-existing conditions for children" so I am curious to see how that wording is going to affect things on that issue.

Also, from what I have read adding the student loan thing was a way to push it through as well without having to worry about it being passed in it's own right. That just seems a little shady to me...

I'm curious as to why people don't think this is a good idea? As I see it, things aren't working so well the way they are, how will we know if it works or not until we try it? For those who don't like it, can you tell me why not?
