Growing up my Mom always turned jeans inside out along with certain shirts especially if she hungs clothes outside on the clotheslines to dry that way the sun didn't fade the colors as fast.

Some of the wear and tear that happens on your clothing can be prevented by turning your clothing inside out before washing and drying. Turning garments inside out will reduce pilling which dulls the look of the fabric. It will help corduroy and velvet from getting linty.
Don't forget to turn clothing inside out when you hang clothes outside to dry. While the sun is an excellent and efficient drying tool, it will zap the color right out of your clothing.

By turning your clothing inside out you get longer wear which in turn equals less money spent.

If they get put in the hamper inside out, they get washed and hung on the line inside out. If they go into the hamper right side out, they get washed and hung on the line right side out.

I live in the dark , and I never have heard of anyone washing jeans inside out.

I didn't used to wash anything inside out , until recently , more and more the inside care tags , are saying to turn garment inside out before washing. It makes sense, so I have been doing the same to older similar clothing.

Mine get washed however they get put in the hamper. Between working and trying to keep up with the housework around here I don't really have time to worry to much about my laundry except that it gets done. LOL.
