Do you feel guilty if you miss church?

I know I shouldn't but I do!! Last week we stayed home because Sunday School is over and we had so much work to do around the house. I felt so guilty!!! I don't feel bad if I actually am gone (as in out of town), but just to stay home, I felt bad. Not sure if this is good or bad?

Well, I am off to church now!

No, but I understand what you are talking about.

I don't think the word is guilty, but I start feeling "disconnected" (for lack of a better word) if I get out of the habit of taking my quiet time/prayer time at some point during the day.

Absolutely not. Church is one of the many ways I feed my spirit, and I go when the sermon topic is one that I'm interested in, or when there is some other activity going on that interests me. If there's nothing of interest for me on any given Sunday, I don't go.

Yeah, I guess guilty is not the right word. I just don't feel "right" not going to church. It takes me out of my comfort zone and does not make my week complete.

Well, I know it doesn't feel like a Sunday if I don't go to 9:30 yoga. The only times we miss Sunday (other than out of town/sick) is if we go to Friday night candlelight yoga. Well, this week I went to candlelight on Friday, as DH was working late. This morning, I decided to have a lazy morning while DH went to yoga, and I figured I'd make up some blueberry french toast for him. So, my luck - after breakfast, I read the paper. I decide to gather the newspaper for recycling & when I bend over to put the papers in a grocery bag - sproing! my back goes out. So I guess that's what happens when I skip Sunday yoga. I'm now eating motrin & leaning on an ice pack...

I guess I better think twice before skipping next time - LOL.

I don't feel guilty, but feel like I've missed out on something. I go away from our church feeling refreshed, confident, recharged.

We are normally so busy with the girls soccer and/or dance activities that when we have a "free" Sunday we really try to get to church....and that was the plan this morning, until I turned my alarm off and fell back asleep!!! Ugh!! I really wanted to go today too! I don't know if I feel guilty, but I also deel disconnected, its like church gives me that extra boost to end one week and to start the next.

YES. Always! And now that ds is older, I feel guilty for him not going either, since it's not his fault. Today I went to a special Mass at my high school that is closing, ds had a baseball game so dh took him while I went to the Mass. So since I went I felt good, but since ds missed I feel guilty.

Dh is not Catholic and will go when we go, but won't take it upon himself to bring ds if I am not there.

I think it is a Good thing. Keeps me on my toes.

I feel guilty when we don't go. My boys are young and although I still know why I worship the way I do, they still have a lot to learn. I also feel guilty cause I know the boys enjoy going to church and when we don't go, they can't go either.

If we're out of town I don't feel guilty since I can't really help it!

Same here but no guilt when I can't go.
