I quit! Online surveys are not worth my time.

I've decided to quit doing online surveys. I finally reached the $50 cashout on GlobalTestMarket and I'm going to quit that and all the other survey companies I'm signed up with. (I am involved in a year-long study for one, so I will see that one through first.) I am still doing MyPoints and Swagbucks, but the surveys are such a drain on my time and energy.

How many hours of doing surveys, not to mention sifting through the invites, did it take me to earn that $50? Too many. I hate the feeling that there are survey invites in my inbox waiting for me to have time to get to them. By the time I get to them half of them are expired anyway.

Back when I just had one kid, doing surveys was a great way for me to earn a little extra cash. I had plenty of time to do them, and the payout seemed to come faster. But now I need to cut back on my computer-time-wasting and this is one really easy way for me to do it.

How about you? Are surveys worth your time?

No, I gave up on them a long time ago.

me too. Though I don't mind swagbucks surveys. When I qualify, they are profitable.

I signed up for MySurvey and have found that to be useless also. MyPoints is the only thing I will do anymore. I figure with emails, surveys and the occasional buzz campaign points I figure a $10 gc about every 4 months. Better than anything else I have come up with!

I do mypoints, swagbucks, Pinecone, Marie Brighton/Synovate and Toluna. Those are the only ones that seem to add up fast and make it worthwhile, I used to do quite a few more but the past few years they changed their point values making it no longer worth the time it takes (and half the time you answer a ton of questions and then are told you don't qualify anyway )

My DH was doing them for awhile and gave up on them too. He realized that for some he wasn't get paid until he reached at least $20. He thought it took way too much time. Others, he thought he was getting paid for, only to find out that payment was in the form of store coupons (the same ones that we get free all the time).

Marie Brighton is the one I am not quitting yet because I'm doing a year long one. The nice thing about it is that you can cash out at $5, but it doesn't seem to be adding up as fast as it used to. However, they still pay for non-qualifying surveys, which is nice.

surveys are surely not worth it.But if you are thinking of making money,i will recommend these:
1.writing articles:type "webmaster forums" and go to job sections.
2.get hired as a virtual assistant - i really do not know much about where to look for those jobs but am sure as hell that you could make a comfortable living through it if you get the job,
hope that helped.that is just a few online jobs that i know of and know people who do it.

I do Toluna, Pinecone, Mindfield, Synovate, e-rewards, and Ipsos-i-say. I just started doing a bunch of others and have noticed they are a ton slower to add up. I think I'll stick with what I have.

I just started them and am finding it is a lot of working for $5 or $10. How long does it normally take to make that much money. It is very wasteful and I feel like I should be doing more with the kids instead.
