What items do you stock up, when you have a snow storm predicated

We are suppose to get 8" of snow tonight.

All of the stores are out of milk, egg and bread. Things I wasn't going to stock up on anyway. But that is what they are telling everyone to get.

What items, do you stock up on, in case you are stuck in the house for a couple of days?

For us, 8 inches isnt that big of a deal but if it were...I would just grab a little extra on bread(if needed or we are running low), milk and MAYBE some eggs.

We see people frantically run to the grocery store when any kind of winter storm is being threatened and literally have overflowing carts full of food...as if we would be stuck at home for a month.

We never get enough snow to have to stock up, although you wouldn't think so with the run on our grocery stores before any snow prediction. I usually have enough of the basics on hand anyway in case I can't get to a store.

I always have a gallon of milk in the freezer. We have a toddler that drinks about 24 ounces a day, so I am well prepared for that. Bread, cheese are also in the freezer

Honestly, I could eat from our pantry for awhile, but I've always had a well stocked pantry. Habit I guess.... Though we'll see after FTJ!

The only thing we make sure to have is milk. I make our own bread and we don't have to buy eggs since we have chickens.

I don't necessarily have to stock up on anything because of a storm unless it happens to fall a day or two before grocery day.

I like to make sure I have milk, but thats about it. No biggie if I run out of anything else, but we MUST have milk.

Bottled water ... I know there is tons of water (in the form of snow) outside but how clean is it really? Plus, do you really want to expend energy collecting and melting it. If a pipe freezes you might have to turn off the water at the main. Bottled water comes in very handy.

Plastic garbage bags ... from fixing water leaks to storing firewood, I can't get enough garbage bags.

Extra propane for the BBQ ... see below.

Stuff in cans ... if the power goes off I have to cook on the BBQ or wood stove so I want stuff that heats up fast and doesn't take a lot of tending. I have a manual can opener, of course.

Anything I am low on. Right now that would be coffee and dog food.

There's really nothing we stock up on, but we usually have a good supply of staples onhand. I'd make sure we had the things I shop for every week, which are of course milk, bread, & fresh veggies & fruit. Even w/ 8" of snow it wouldn't be a huge deal for us to get out to get stuff we need, but we are in Ohio and used to it!

I'm in Michigan but 8" is no big deal.Might get to work quite late or work from home, but everything will be clear later in the day. I always have a full pantry, don't buy milk. I've never run out to buy anything before a snow storm in my life.
