What's a bunco menu? Are we feeding fraud investigators?

Did I miss something? Bunco is a game played by a group of people.

I see. I've never heard of a game called Bunco. I've only ever heard the word used on cop shows - the detectives who investigated fraud and scams were called the bunco squad.

I've been in a Bunco group for 13 years, and the menus vary. Some of us really like to cook, so they go all out. Others work full time, so they go for quick and easy. Really doesn't matter. Some examples:
(there's always a green salad, too)
  • Crock Pot - Chili / Spaghetti Chicken / or Soup
  • Lasagna - Traditional or Mexican
  • Baked Potato Bar
  • Taco Bar
  • Casseroles

I play too and our meals vary depending on who is cooking. Everyone loves when my mom, my aunt, me or our 2 friends cook because the rest of them don't cook. LOL

We try to vary our menus. I had it in December and did a soup and salad bar. I made chili, potato soup, veggie soup and broccoli soup. Pasta dishes are always a hit. One of our friends always makes homemade chicken and dumplings. Mexican is always a hit too. Those of us that cook try to do stuff that doesn't have a lot of last minute prep so that we aren't running around like crazy in the kitchen when everyone gets here.

One other favorite was breakfast. We all wore our pajamas to play that night.

For those of you that don't play or don't know what it is, it is a dice game. It is a ton of fun. We play once a month, but there are other groups that play more often.

I always do February. It's easiest on with our schedules and I get to make decadent desserts b/c it's Valentine's!

Last year I did breakfast. I've also done baked ziti, bread and salad. I did a mexican bar one year and the first year I did heavy appetizers. I was going to repeat the appetizers but it falls on Super Bowl weekend and I figure people will be having that on Sunday.

Thinking about italian beef sandwiches and some sides.
