If you plant flowers when do you usually start planting?

Does anyone have a butterfly garden?

Nothing goes in the ground here until after Memorial Day. If i am making baskets or potted plants i do that earlier but bring them inside the garage each night until the fear of frost is over.

I like to put flowers in our planters and scattered throughout the beds. I don't usually start until the end of April, but last year I put in pansies and violas in the middle of April and they did very well until August.

This year I plan on trying geraniums in the pots, and maybe some impatients in the front.

We started our seeds yesterday so by the time it's warm enough to plant in our pots our flowers will be sprouting. Very cheap and fun way to do flowers for the yard!
