When did your baby start walking

My oldest began walking at 10 months old. My friend has a son who began walking at nine months! I thought that was pretty early. My baby is almost 11 months and is not interested in walking one bit! He is perfectly happy for momma to carry him all over the place! LOL!

When did your babies start walking?

My daughter was 12 months. My son was an extremely late walker at 19 months. I probably enabled him by carrying him a lot, but also he was (and still is) very tall and thin so his center of gravity was much different than other babies. He's also had more of an aptitude for fine motor skills rather than gross motor skills.

My older daughter started walking at 13 months. I thought that was pretty much the average.

My little one is 13 months and still isn't even close! I don't think it's a developmental delay type of thing. Her balance is actually pretty good. I just don't think she has a desire. She is such a FAST crawler...like super-fast! Plus she likes to play with the toys and things on the floor. I don't think she has yet realized the advantages of walking. That's ok though! I'm not in a hurry for another walker!

Both my kids started walking at 15 months. Both were fast crawlers and climbers, so I think they didn't see the need to walk. They were also both cautious and didn't walk until they were super steady, then rarely fell.
