Anyone else have a preteen, or Tween, going through all this??? My oldest turns 11 Tomorrow!!, and she is making me insane with her mood swings. I've been noticing some bodily development with her, so I'm guessing she is in the full throws of homones and PMS. I know I'm not the only one, Kim and I have been chatting as she is going through it all too. LOL

I was 9 when I started developing, and just turned 11 when I got my period. I'm assuming she won't be far behind me.

This is our official support thread! LOL How do you deal with your moody preteen??? Any advice from those that have been through it?? ( I swear, she may not LIVE to see her 11th birthday. LOL)

LOL I said the same thing. Get it over with already so she'll settle down! But who knows if she will. She is my extremly strong willed, hard headed, stubborn little girl, and has been since birth. LOL this just makes it worse.

Went through it times three! The only way I survived was just to tell myself that it wasn't personal but hormonal. I was great at ignoring bad moods.

I try to keep a stock of chocolate bars, and hand her one when she starts being a pain. LOL. This is for my 16 year old. For my 14 year old, it is hard to tell, because she keeps the fact that she is on her period a huge secret. I never know when she is on it.

as the mom of a 14 year old girl....grin and bear it..and keep chocolate handy...she cannot help it ( and keep telling your dh that over and over again too as they get right frustrated with it all...at least mine did and still does).

My advice is to send her away to boarding school for the next 7 years!! I remember those years and they are hard. The only thing is that MINE didn't stop after she started her period. She was still very moody for several years. So buckle up for a long ride or start looking for a boarding school far far away!!
