What type of products have you sold from home? - Page 3

trents mommy, I sell Scentsy too! I love it! I've been in it for 2 years & I have a team of 83 under me. I make a good income & don't kill myself doing parties. My customers prefer tote parties (basket parties are what the company calls them to those that don't know the "lingo" & I love that it's so flexible because we home educate our kids (ages 5-15 & pre-school to sophomore) so we're VERY busy. The oldest one, our daughter, dances 6 days a week pre-professionally & is classically trained. It's a busy life style... I don't have the schedule to do parties multiple nights of the week so this is perfect for us & as a Director, I can still spend all the time I need training my team & being available to my customers & family. It is the best decision I ever made.

I only got into it to help pay off some dance every month & now it can totally pay our mortgage & then some without me killing myself & I'm having a BLAST with some of the sweetest people! I love this business!!! ;D

I used to sell Tupperware years ago. When they changed their distribution plan to include mall kiosks and Target, it sort of killed the at-home sales. That was okay, I was really only doing it to re-do my kitchen in Tupperware that I could use for long-term food storage.

I also used to sell Avon. I didn't do it for profit, but the tax write-offs saved our fanny that year!

I'm thinking of being an agent for doTerra essential oils simply to get my own supply at a reduced price.

Now, my sister-in-law is always in some kind of at-home party scheme and she does really well. She's done those home decor lines, Longaberger baskets, silver jewelry, candles and now she's (and her grown daughters) are into selling designer jeans! She is a manicurist so already has a client base.

I work full time and have had a home party gig on the side for as long as I can remember!

I sold Cutco through college for 3 years. Got to a point where $1200 income on 2-3 demos was amazing, but some months I'd set up over a dozen demos and make a fraction of that. Just needed a more stable income at the time and I was nearing graduation.

I got into Passion Parties for about 4.5 years. This was by far the easiest and most fun of any of the home party companies I've been involved with!!

I sold Arbonne for 2 years and Lia Sophia for just under a year. Both were too saturated with consultants in my area and too hard to break into a highly competitive business.

And now I've been selling Scentsy for a little over a year.

I've never looked at the home business opportunity as a means of my only source of income, but rather a boost I need to help with bills or buy those little extras that I otherwise wouldn't have in my budget. To me it's also a social outlet I crave. Not to mention...it can be a HUGE tax advantage!

I have started with Melaleuca and love everything about it. I love not having to host parties and do not have to invest in keeping stock on hand. If you would be interested I would love to give you more info about it. I can either give you a call or email you a webcast that would share more info in detail.

Thanks for your time,

Jodi Swenson

I just read what I wrote last year and had to laugh. I am now a director with shaklee and instead of making $700 a month, I am making 2k a month and am no longer working in law enforcement. What a difference a year makes! :)

I sell Passion Parties and have so much fun. I make 40% off every product I sell. I am able to stay home with my kids and plan my party schedule around their sports and other activities. Even in a slow economy, people spend money on fun smile.gif

I've been an Usborne consultant for the discount on books. It was totally worth it to build up my children's library.

Now, I'm a Beachbody coach, which I also joined for the discount on the programs I wanted and Shakeology. I just started this summer and I'm already making a little money off of it, so that is a bonus! I'm really enjoying helping others with their health and fitness goals, it is fun!
