How has the year started for your special needs child? Do you find they are adjusting well? Notice any struggles this early in the year?

Dd just started yesterday. She is super excited about school this year. She is not a morning person at all but she was wide awake and ready to go yesterday. I am concerned about the state assessment exams. The jury is still out on her teacher....she is a super nice lady I'm just not sure how willing she is to put in the extra effort with dd.
Plus at the open house I found out the intermediate school district took back her Disc O Sit at the end of last year so I had to get on them about getting that back for her asap because the OT schedule doesn't usually start up until we are several weeks into school.....and she can't wait that long.

Well he made it through one day at the yr high with no complaints. He is less then enthusiastic this morning.

So far, so good here. One of his teachers has requested a conference. I'm kind of baffles though as he has an 87% in the class. Other than that he seems to be cruising along.
