Can you freeze apple crisp?

We got a bunch of apples from a friends tree. We are not big apple eaters, but we love apple crisp, but I don't want to eat that much. Can I make it up and freeze it? Would I freeze it baked or unbaked?

I peel & cut and freeze apples every fall. I place them in a pie pan, or a square pan for crisp, so I know how many I need for that recipe, and then pour the cut up apples in a freezer bag & label it (for pie, for crisp, whatever).

I would not bother making it and then freezing it because I am not sure that the crumble topping would come out so well, and if the apples are cut up already, it's so easy to thaw them, put the topping on, and pop it in the oven.

I agree with Calimari!

That is how I do the apples, to make my pies and cobblers. That way the apple part is already done.

Apple pie filling is very easy to can. I'd make up a few jars then keep them on the shelf.
